Pareto Chart Pro — TCViz · Effective: August 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of Pareto Chart Pro, a Power BI custom visual developed by TCViz and distributed through Microsoft AppSource. By installing or using the visual you agree to these terms.

1. License tiers

Free tier Free

Available to all Power BI users at no charge. Includes:

Full Pareto chart with ranked bars and cumulative % line
5 bins displayed (fixed at 20% bin size)
Up to 2 configurable reference lines (default: 80%)
Drilldown and hierarchical view
Cross-filtering and multi-select
Conditional formatting on bar color (the fx rule dialog)
Threshold Colors — colour bins by cumulative % threshold
Tooltips field well — up to 10 additional measures
IBCS Mode — one-click International Business Communication Standards styling
Keyboard navigation and screen-reader support
High contrast mode
Bar color and axis styling

Pro tier Pro

Requires an active AppSource subscription. Includes all Free features plus:

Custom bin size: 1–20% (up to 100 bars)
Outlier exclusion — filter top and bottom % of entities
Value labels on bars (font size, color, % sign)
Third reference line
Bar border color and width
Bar gap control

A 30-day free trial is available on AppSource. No credit card required to start the trial.

2. Subscription and billing

Pro tier subscriptions are purchased and managed through Microsoft AppSource. TCViz does not directly handle payments, renewals, or cancellations. All billing is governed by Microsoft's marketplace terms.

Each Pro license covers one named user. Sharing a single license across multiple users is not permitted.

3. Permitted use

You may use Pareto Chart Pro within Microsoft Power BI for personal, internal business, or commercial reporting purposes, subject to these terms and Microsoft's Power BI license. You may not:

Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the visual
Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the visual outside of the AppSource marketplace
Use the visual in a way that violates applicable laws or Microsoft's platform policies

4. Intellectual property

Pareto Chart Pro and all associated assets are the intellectual property of TCViz. The visual is licensed to you for use — it is not sold. TCViz retains all ownership rights.

The source code is available on GitHub under its stated open-source license for reference and contribution purposes.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

Pareto Chart Pro is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. TCViz makes no guarantees regarding uninterrupted availability, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with every Power BI environment or dataset.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, TCViz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the visual, including but not limited to data loss, business interruption, or loss of revenue.

7. Changes to these terms

TCViz may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the visual after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
