These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChipSlicer Hierarchy Power BI custom visual ("the Visual") published by TCViz ("we", "us", or "our") on Microsoft AppSource. By installing or using the Visual, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Licence Grant
Subject to these Terms, TCViz grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Visual within Microsoft Power BI for your internal business intelligence purposes.
2. Free vs. Pro Tiers
- Free tier: Available to all users at no charge. Limited to 2 hierarchy levels and 20 values per level. Custom colours and multi-select are disabled.
- Pro tier: Unlocks 3 hierarchy levels, unlimited values, multi-select, custom per-level colours, auto-collapse, and the configurable reset button. A valid Microsoft AppSource licence must be active.
Licence verification is performed exclusively through the official Microsoft
IVisualLicenseManager API. TCViz does not handle payment directly; all
transactions are managed by Microsoft.
3. Restrictions
You may not:
- Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the Visual or its source code.
- Reverse engineer or decompile the Visual except as permitted by applicable law.
- Use the Visual in any manner that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices or labels on the Visual.
4. Intellectual Property
The Visual and all associated documentation, designs, and code are the exclusive property of TCViz and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in TCViz's intellectual property other than the limited licence described above.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE VISUAL IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TCVIZ DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE VISUAL WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TCVIZ SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE VISUAL.
7. Updates and Changes
TCViz reserves the right to update the Visual and these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Visual after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will post the updated date at the top of this page.
8. Termination
TCViz may terminate or suspend your licence to use the Visual at any time if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Visual and delete any copies.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona, Spain.
